Vermont To Do List

I'm finally up and blogging again!  The past couple months have been so busy with moving that I simply didn't have time to even think about sitting down and writing.  Now that I have so little on my plate I have several posts that I will be publishing shortly.

In the spirit of moving on and getting settled in Vermont, I have been thinking about what sort of things I want to do around the area.  There is so much that I look forward to doing in the coming months!  I enjoyed having my list of things to do in Kentucky, so here is my Vermont To Do List:

  • take a ferry across Lake Champlain
  • go to Granby, Quebec with my grandmother (that's were she grew up)
  • garden with my grandmother and learn a ton
  • refinish at least one piece of furniture (bonus points for finishing all four of the pieces that I have in mind) night stand, end table, drop leaf table, foot stool
  • hike a mountain
  • drive over Smuggler's Notch
  • take a cooking class
  • go to the Burlington Beerfest (bought my ticket yesterday, so that will definitely be happening)
  • go to the SEABA Art Hop in September (SO excited to be able to do that again!)
  • do a wine tasting at Shelburne Vineyard, Charlotte Village Winery, Boyden Valley Winery (in Cambridge) , and Snow Farm Winery (in South Hero)
  • go to the Vermont Country Store in Weston, Vermont

Well, I think that will be it for now.  I will give myself to the end of September to accomplish all of these things.  Wish me luck and let me know if you want to join me on something. :)

  1. Snowfarm Vineyard hosts free concerts every Thursday night during the summer! You can bring your own food, chairs, blankets, etc. We should go...it's a lot of fun!!
