Fall has arrived in Vermont. The foliage is just starting to turn. Boy, is it going to be a brightly colored fall! This afternoon we went to the Underhill Harvest Market. This was my second or third time going. I just love it. Is it a quintessential small town fall festival. The church ladies make food. The Lions club men make fry onions. People sell crafts. Neighbors have yard sales... It is a great time!
Anyway, before heading home we decided to head just a bit further up the road to stop at Boyden Valley Winery. This was a much anticipated visit for me. I passed this place so many times when I was ski instructing at Smuggler's Notch. I've always wanted to stop but never quite had the time. Well, it was worth the wait! Of the four wineries that I have been to lately, this was by far the best. I really liked their stuff. They have a white wine called Cow Tipper. Isn't that name awesome! And, oh my, they make a liqueur called Vermont Ice Apple Creme. It is made with Vermont Ice Apple Cider, Apple Brandy, and cream. Amazing!
